Thank you for taking a moment to find out a little more about us. Well, a little about me first... I'm married with two great boys. Between showings, listing presentations and closings, I enjoy coaching my son's little league teams here in Poughkeepsie, taking them fishing, hiking, camping, and atv-ing. My wife and I are both from Poughkeepsie, married in 1998 - has it been that long... we enjoy traveling, skiing, and anything fun in the sun.
After 5 years in the mortgage business I decided to make a career change to Real Estate. I achieved my appraisers license in 2003, and work full time as an associate broker for Houlihan Lawrence. I also founded and run the Mid-Hudson Valley Real Estate Investors Association here in Poughkeepsie. A little about Houlihan Lawrence
The Houlihan Lawrence tradition is built on being family owned and family run ~ Developer William V. Lawrence established Lawrence Investments in Bronxville, New York in 1888. He set the scene for the creation of what would become a vibrant, well-planned residential community known as Lawrence Park. He later founded Lawrence Hospital in 1909 and Sarah Lawrence College in 1928. The family has an extensive legacy in Bronxville where Houlihan Lawrence is still headquartered in the historic building where it all began over 100 years ago.
In the 1950’s, Arthur Houlihan founded A.T. Houlihan Real Estate in northern Westchester. In 1984, Lawrence Management merged with this top northern Westchester realty firm and became known as Houlihan Lawrence. When they joined forces, it was a union of two impeccable reputations known for integrity, fair dealing and high quality. In September of 2003, WJ Lavery Real Estate, an indepently owned real estate firm was acquired by Houlihan Lawrence. There are now four offices in Dutchess County, Millbrook, Poughkeepsie, Lagrangeville & East Fishkill. |
